Okay, I guess we can now call the Gnome issue officially past tense. Everyone involved has now conceded. Elijah in his blog, Eugenia on OSNews.

This leaves one person out of all this. Me.

Even though I do not whish to give myself any more credit than I deserve, I did take part in all this by posting my editorial on eXpert Zone (and OSNews, and eventually Slashdot). Even though I still stand firmly behind every word I said, I do have to also conede, just like the "big" players Eugenia and the Gnome dev team. Even though my editorial did not contain any personal attacks, I however do understand some of the Gnome devs took it personally. I accused them of not taking their users into account, and even though I still think that's partially true, it was not fair of me to state it as bluntly as I did. I did some apologies in my previous blog post, but that's not enough. I hereby wish to apologize if any Gnome or OSS dev took offence of my article. I support my views still, but having a certain view is no excuse for me to generalize as much as I did.

I hope that this issue is hereby resolved. I wanted to say something really "ubuntu", but let's not get all too mushy. This issue had its purpose, but it's enough now.
